With this shoot I was just blessed beyond belief! Danelle booked me for this shoot some time ago and told me from the start
that she wanted to do the shoot in Greyton. This town is my favourite in South Africa and I try to go there as often as possible
and was over the moon when Danelle asked if we could do the shoot there. I immediately booked accommodation for the
weekend with my husband and some friends and on the Friday we went to Greyton for the weekend. On Friday evening it
started raining and on Saturday morning when I woke up it was still raining. I just decided that I was going to pray the rain
away:) It literally rained the whole day and at some stages the wind was so strong mixed with the rain that there was just no
way that I would have been able to shoot outside and I really didn’t want to shoot inside. I wanted to capture the loveliness of
Greyton. I just kept calm the whole time and at 3h30 when I arrived to meet Danelle and Hendrik, the rain suddenly stopped –
God was holding a huge umbrella over us:):) Danelle and Hendrik was such a pleasure to shoot and we just strolled through the
streets of Greyton, stopping wherever we saw something nice. In the last 5 min of the shoot it started drizzling again (which
worked for the umbrella shots) and when we made our way into the pub for a nice glass of red after the shoot, it started raining
cats and dogs for the rest of the evening!
What a wonderful day!
Thank you Danelle & Hendrik for choosing me to celebrate your engagement – you are a stunning couple and I hope you enjoy your pics.
